Peggy Porschen – Queen of Cakes

peggy-porschen Taking a look into the world of Wedding Cakes would not be complete without a mention of the highly acclaimed designs produced by Battersea-based Peggy Porschen, one of Britain’s most sought-after confectionery artists.

Peggy Porschen Cakes was launched in 2003. Already renowned for her highly individual style and exquisite detail Peggy’s company has quickly established an impressive reputation within the wedding industry and the party planning circuit, producing consistantly beautiful wedding and couture cake creations.

peggy-porschen-anemone-bouquetRecent collaborations have seen Peggy working with luxury Mayfair hotel Claridges; Fortnum & Mason, London’s premier purveyor of fine foods; and premier bridal gown designer Jenny Packham, while corporate clients include top brands such as Chanel, Mercedes World, Burberry and Boodles. As a preferred supplier, she is the cake-maker of choice for top venues including The Mandarin and The Berkeley.

Peggy will often take her inspiration from patterns on wallpaper or porcelain – creating iced bakery products that look as if they are wrapped in fabric. Another highly identifyable Porschen style is the Retro look or the Baroque style on many of her cakes and cookies. The range includes designs for Weddings and Christenings, decorated cookies and favours, as well as her own special Signature range.

Yet you do not have to be a celebrity to have Peggy’s products at your own celebration – our colleague Natalie at Aleit has started selling a selection from the Peggy Porschen Cookie Favour range.
